Prior to meeting Sean, Mollie didn’t even own a passport. Today, she is proud that her book is filled with stamps from 5 continents. Mollie’s full time job is working as the Executive Director of Riding On Insulin, helping to empower, activate and connect kids, teens and adults living with T1D through shared experience and action sports. She enjoys road biking, yoga, drinking coffee in the yurt and skiing! She and Sean also own and operate a yoga studio called Yoga Hive.
Sean Busby is a professional backcountry snowboarder. In 2004, Sean endured a complicated diagnosis of T1D. He founded Riding On Insulin, a nonprofit, to honor all the kids who inspired him to keep living. In February 2014, Sean became the first person with T1D to backcountry snowboard all seven continents at the age of 29. Past expeditions include backcountry snowboarding missions to Morocco, Antarctica (twice!), Patagonia, Iceland, Norway, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Alaska, Tasmania, and more. Sean graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Health Promotion and Education, with an emphasis on diabetes. Sean was also diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus in 2015, and still continues to travel around the world on snowboarding expeditions and living the life that he wants.
