Daily Journal: Goal Zero solar panels, ready for winter

Our Goal Zero solar panels are now on a temporary mount for this winter. The true battle of yurt living may simply be trying to keep up with the snowfall and keeping the panels from becoming buried.

How deep is your snow fall in the winter? I built a “solar shed. I love it. It was made totally from reclaimed materials from my neighbor who took down a fence and gave me the materials for hauling it all away. It has held up beautifully for 4 years now . Since I live in the desert we get very little snowfall, but get wind storms, up 90 miles an hour!
